Our Mission: Open To The Possibilities In South Africa

Open to the possibilities of what global impact our mission trip will have on business building in South Africa.

Thinking about how grateful I am for the opportunity ahead to support local merchants. We will be creating a “storefront/tourist centre” for the visitors to Kruger National Park. Our trip to South Africa will be Mission Focused, Heart Centred and Leadership Driven.

This trip has me thinking about how grateful I am to have been born in Canada as well as how much I am looking forward to exploring beyond what I know.

I recently said yes to a mission trip, without knowing why. It simply called to me that I should follow this adventure. My logical left-brained self is still wondering what the reason was for the resounding yes, yet I am confident it will be revealed.

I am so excited to be going with a team of leaders to rural South Africa this November with the Dream BIG Be BOLD Global Impact Team! We will be helping to create a tourist attraction business to help sell local merchandise outside the entrance of Kruger National Park. Microeconomics learning ahead. I will be posting as we prepare to raise funds to bring to the local economy, so if you would like to contribute to our efforts and have an impact as well, we would love it if you were along for the ride.

Going with the curiosity to understand the world from a different perspective. To seek to understand and then be understood. To learn from each other and explore a different way of thinking and being.

I will bring what I have and share it, then bring back what I didn’t have to be changed for the better. Volunteering and contributing while growing into the boldest and potentially calmest version of myself.

This is the highest form of personal development I have ever done. Going on an adventure and saying yes with no idea why. I am going with a group that I really do not know personally.
We are on a mission to create positive change and experience a terrain we are not familiar with. My business partner, Jennifer Slay of Thrive Experts also experienced life-changing moments last year when she joined this mission trip and a different group of adventurers as they traveled to Guatemala.

Every magical adventure begins with a YES!

I know in my gut that there is a reason I need to go. The connections will become clear as the journey unfolds. Some adventures are simply meant to be. My father always had it on his bucket list to travel to Safari in Africa. I will now be living out that adventure for us, as he passed a number of years ago before this dream was realized.

My expectations for this mission trip are to see joy, share joy and learn further about joy.

Dream Boldly I Dare You!

Thank you to all of you who challenge me to take it to the next level, to those who inspire me, and those who are simply amazing. Especially my unbelievably supportive husband. I am going back to Africa.  The other side of my family is from Africa and I hope that this experience encourages me to travel further and experience the beauty of the continent many more times.

Blyde River Canyon – is one place we will visit during our trip!
The correct name is Blyderivierpoort and in English, it’s BLYDE River Canyon.
Blyderivierpoort is Afrikaans (mother tongue). It actually means happy river gate directly translated.

On our mission, we are going to the happy river in South Africa!

Excited for the adventure and open to the possibilities ahead. On our trip, I and 7 others who joined this mission will be helping to build a location where local artisans can sell their goods outside of Kruger National Park. As a business coach, this is simply outstanding to me that we will be able to build a physical business and support them to become more productive and profitable.

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. To Travel is to Live.
Happy Independence Day to all of the Countries celebrating. I cannot wait to visit and learn more about Nelson Mandela’s long walk to freedom.  What we think is possible is just the beginning.
