I’ve partnered over a thousand times to co-create business plans and help professionals set goals.

Did you know there was a study that shared there is a significant difference between S.M.A.R.T. and H.A.R.D. goals?

Hard goals are heartfelt, they matter and are not just an exercise that you need to complete.

I used to set too many goals too.
When we have more than 3 goals a year the likelihood of achieving them with excellence is drastically reduced.

This year, I had one main goal;

To partner in the success of 48 business owners/professionals. Assisting them to improve their productivity and profitability and achieve their goals.

My goal was set, my lead measures were created, my scorecard was viable and I had a cadence of accountability set.

Achieve your goals faster and easier than before.

First, decide exactly what you want in each area of your life. Be specific!

Second, write if down, clearly and in detail.

Third, set a specific deadline. If it is a large goal, break it down into sub-deadlines and write them down in order.

Fourth, make a list of everything you can think of that you are going to have to do to achieve your goal. As you think of new items, add them to your list.

Fifth, organize the items on your list into a plan by placing them in the proper sequence and priority.

Sixth, take action immediately on the most important thing you can do on your plan. This is very important!

Seventh, do something every day that moves you toward the attainment of one or more of your wildly important goals.

Maintain momentum and celebrate the little wins along the way.

A few years ago, I would set goals for myself that would ensure the “HOW” was clear to me. It provided a sense of control.

I am choosing to won my Power and know that I am having a positive impact. The WHAT and WHO is cleaner to me more so than the HOW.

I took the leap into Entrepreneurship 6 years ago when I left my Corporate role and have achieved more than I thought possible in that short time I’ve been a co-author in 2 International Best Selling books; Featured in several national publications including a regular feature inside The Six-Figure Coach Magazine; We moved in order to start the business and moved back into the same area we left wishing 4 years; Our son has been involved in an Elite level athletic program for 4 years; I have subscribers for my Plan to Profit Brief from 17 different Countries around the world; I provide business coaching and change consulting virtually using Zoom and reach many different industries.

Here’s what I’ve learned about setting goals and working daily to achieve them:

BELIEF:
Where belief in yourself and bold moves meet, magic happens.

KNOW YOUR WHY:

The goals needs to be heartfelt and it needs to matter to you.

CONSISTENCY:

Consistency pays dividends, keep going, even when you do not want to and your mind chatter gets loud.

STOP MULTI-TASKING:

It isn’t helping you and is actually hurting your productivity. Choose to focus on one thing, remove the noise and only task-switch when you absolutely need to. Use a priority matrix grid if you are not sure how to prioritize this. If you do not have one, reach out and I will share mine with you.

TRACK THE RESULTS:

What gets measured, gets done. Use a scorecard and know if you are winning.

CELEBRATE OFTEN:

Create a little gratitude jar and have sticky notes handy to capture the mistakes that you will not make again and to capture every single WIN, small or large. Have it close by to reach in and grab inspiration when you do not feel like taking action. Gratitude for what you have already achieved and learned will keep you moving forward. Share with your close circle, being a business owner can be isolating, let others support you in your success.

Make a decision, visually the outcome, eleven you can and partner with someone who can hold you accountable to the desired outcome.

Get started today.

The more useful reflection involved the conscious consideration and analysis of beliefs and actions for the purpose of learning. Reflection gives the brain an opportunity to pause amidst the chaos, untangle and sort through observations and experiences, consider multiple possible interpretations, and create meaning. This meaning becomes learning, which can then inform future mindsets and actions. For leaders, this “meaning making” is crucial to their ongoing growth and development.

Make time for self-reflection, even if you hate doing it.

Coaching is never an expense. It is one of the smartest investments any small business owner or professional will ever make when it comes to building a successful business. Gain access to improved self-awareness and become a more effective leader.

The time is now to finish strong in 2021 and begin with a purpose and a plan in 2022.

Partner with a proven professional in business.

Thank you for reaching and sharing this out with your network.
