The annual 19 days of Christmas Kindness is well underway.  Today was day 13!

Would you like to invite someone you know to join us? This time is about savouring the moments, doing more of what we love and spreading some Christmas Kindness? Thank you for your for sharing this with your friends, families, and co-workers to support them to increase their positive emotions over this holiday season.

On December 6th, we kicked off this annual tradition.

Day 1 of the 19 days of Christmas Kindness Calendar! Act #1: Pick up the phone and call a friend or loved one. Not just anyone. Someone you have thought about but haven’t spoken to in a while. Maybe it’s you dear Aunt Ethel from the North Pole or your closest friend from grade 3 you recently reconnected with. Whoever it is, give them a call and let them know that even though you haven’t talked to them in a while, they are in your thoughts. Spread the kindness by inviting others to participate in this years Acts of Kindness Calendar! This season is not all about stress, giving gifts and rushing around. Join in to savour the moments, do more of what you love and spread some Christmas Kindness.

I would love for this to be inclusive of any holiday that is celebrated during this season!

Day 6 of the 19 days of Christmas Kindness Calendar! Act #6:
Did you give a compliment to a friend or co-worker today? Hopefully, you see them face to face, if not a text will do. Comment on their hair, outfit or jewelry, find something nice to say and make their day. It’s the little things that can make all the difference in the positive emotions we feel that carry us through our day with ease. Spread the kindness by inviting others to participate in this year’s Acts of Kindness Calendar!

Day 10 of the 19 days of Christmas Kindness Calendar! Act #10:
Sometimes the best thing you can do for someone else is to take care of yourself. Today, I invite you to take time to savour. Savour 10 minutes of quiet time, savour a cup of tea or glass of wine, take a breath and pause. You are working hard, and doing better than you think, celebrate you! Savouring is one of the positive psychology practice tips I share in a free video series you are welcome to ► http://jimberecoachingandconsulting.com/positive-psychology-tips/ It’s the little things that can make all the difference in the positive emotions we feel that carry us through our day with ease. Today, was day 13 of the 19 days of Christmas Kindness Calendar! Act #13:
Go for a walk in the dark to see the Christmas lights and leave a note for the home or business owner. Prepare a thank you note in advance, vote for your favourite display and place it in their mailbox or on their doorstep safely. It could say something like “Thank you for brightening our day with your beautiful lights, Merry Christmas!” With all the darkness going on in the world, this act of praise combined with the fresh air and gratitude will help to spread a little Christmas Kindness. It’s the little things that can make all the difference in the positive emotions we feel that carry us through our day with ease.

I hope you will join along for the remainder of the Christmas Kindness calendar and see how performing these acts of kindness support you. A lot of people experience this time of year as being filled with chaos, chores and expectations, instead, let’s choose to focus on spreading and having joy as well as savouring wonderful memories.
